A day after announcing a planned rehab stint for Jeff Weaver, the Dodgers activated the reliever Sunday morning and moved Travis Schlichting to the 15-day disabled list.

The Dodgers announced the deal before Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds. The 34-year-old Barajas hit .225 (56-245) with 12 homers and 34 RBIs in 74 games with New York this year.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have put starter Vicente Padilla on the 15-day disabled list because of a bulging disk in his neck. This is the second time that Padilla is on the DL this year. He missed eight weeks early in the season with a sore right elbow.
