LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10 (UPI) — Cliff Lee tossed eight shutout innings and smacked a home run Tuesday, boosting the Philadelphia Phillies to a 2-1 decision over the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was working with a 1-0 lead for much of the game when he launched a home run into the right field stands in the seventh, which turned out to be the winning run. Ryan Madson earned his 21st save despite allowing an RBI single to Casey Blake in the ninth. The Dodgers’ Ted Lilly (7-12) was saddled with the hard-luck loss, surrendering two runs on six hits over eight frames.
